Bula Vinaka to all Fijians and to all friends of Fiji. On behalf of the Fijian community of Adelaide, South Australia I wish you a wonderful, blessed and a happy Independence Day celebration. We are all incredibly proud of our roots and our young democracy and what we together have achieved in the last 50 years. Let’s all stay united together and make our beautiful Fiji prouder, stronger and the way the world should be. Let’s not forget the hard work and sacrifices of our ancestors and elders and make their dreams of a better Fiji for everyone a reality……stay blessed abundantly….
Congratulations for the 50th year Celebrations of our beloved Fiji Independence! The opportunity now, is to convey our gratitude and thanks to those of our leaders who have spearhead the leadership from the beginning. In 1874 – King Seru Epenisa Cakobau ceded Fiji to the United Kingdom. On the same date in 1970, Fiji gained its Independence. To those who have led, and to our current Government leadership – A Huge Vinaka Vakalevu. To all our Fijian people, those who are at our beloved Fiji and those around the world – you have made and created a better Fiji. My prayer as we anticipate and look forward to the next 50 years of Fiji – I pray that we will walk hand in hand, before our Almighty God in truth and with a loyal heart, to do what is good for our God, for each other, communities and for our Island Nation of Fiji. Blessed and Happy 50th Year Independence – FIJI. God Blessings.
